The City of Edinburgh
Council is once again organising a summer programme designed to give
young people in Edinburgh a safe and enjoyable introduction to an
exciting range of outdoor activities. Organised by the Sports and Outdoor Education Unit you can be assured that these sessions will be run to the highest possible safety standards using some of the most experienced and qualified instructors in the city. Starting each day from the newly opened Bangholm Outdoor Centre in north Edinburgh we will venture out each day to venues close to the city returning at the end of the day both tired and happy. With prices starting at an unbelievably low £10 per day these days out represent fantastic value for money. Places are expected to be snapped up quickly and with booking being done on a first-come-first served basis you’ll need to be quick. All activities meet at Bangholm Outdoor Centre, Craighall Gardens, Edinburgh EH6 4RH (please note we are not able to pick up or drop off anywhere other than Bangholm OC). We reserve the right to change venues depending on weather forecasts on the day. Places must be booked and paid for in advance. Cost includes:- Transport to and from Edinburgh, all specialist equipment, qualified and experienced instructors. Cost does not include:- Food, drink, personal clothing Mountain Biking Introductory sessions are open to anyone who can ride a bike. Intermediate sessions are designed to teach more advanced mountain bike skills. Advanced sessions are for people who are already competent mountain bikers and are looking for some advanced coaching.
